GUIDANCE: A-Z
"Trust in the LORD
with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all
thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy
path." Proverbs 3:5-6
O
Acts 5:29
Then Peter and the [other]
apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
Colossians 3:22-24
Servants, obey in all things
[your] masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers;
but in singleness of heart, fearing God: And whatsoever ye do, do [it]
heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord
ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Deuteronomy 6:5-13
And thou shalt love the LORD
thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk
of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the
way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt
bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between
thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and
on thy gates. And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought
thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac,
and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst
not, And houses full of all good [things], which thou filledst not,
and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which
thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; [Then]
beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land
of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God,
and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.
Deuteronomy 10:12-13
And now, Israel, what doth
the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk
in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all
thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the
LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
James 1:22-25
But be ye doers of the word,
and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer
of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural
face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway
forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect
law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer,
but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
John 14:15-24
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that
he may abide with you for ever; [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom
the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will
not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and
the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live
also. At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me,
and I in you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is
that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and
I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Judas saith unto him,
not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us,
and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love
me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come
unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not
my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which
sent me.
I John 1:4-9
And these things write we unto
you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have
heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no
darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in
darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as
he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood
of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have
no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess
our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken
unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
PSALM 6
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine
anger, neither chasten me in they hot displeasure. Have mercy upon me,
O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies'
sake. For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall
give thee thanks? I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my
bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. Mine eye is consumed because
of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. Depart from me, all
ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hathheard the voice of my weeping.
The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. Let
all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed
suddenly.
Romans 8:31-39
What shall we then say to these
things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us? He that spared not
his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him
also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of
God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth. Who [is] he that condemneth?
[It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even
at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall
separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress,
or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep
for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor
things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall
be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our
Lord.
Revelation 3:12
Him that overcometh will I
make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and
I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my
God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my
God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.
